Our custom made service allows you to work with talented New Zealand artists to bring your story to life in a truly unique and meaningful piece, carved locally by us and made bespoke for you or your loved one. Our Rotorua artists will work with you every step of the way to create your one-of-a-kind design.

We like to begin our design service by gathering an understanding of what you are hoping to achieve. Please complete the form below and we will be in touch shortly afterwards (approximately 3 business days) to organise a free consultation. Please keep an eye on your junk/spam/promotions email folders, as sometimes our response ends up in there!  

Alternatively, visit our studio at 1288 Fenton Street Rotorua, Monday to Friday 9am - 3pm and have a chat with our artists in person. 

Cost and timeframes

Once under way, expect this process to take a few weeks and keep in mind we may not be able to start immediately. So this is for people who have something special in mind but are under no immediate time pressure. Allow one month from reaching out, as a minimum guide, before you can expect your design to be completed.

This custom carving service carries a premium charge starting at $500.

Here are our artists who are presently working with customers to create custom designs. Read about them and explore their pieces further here. After we understand your desired outcomes, we will select one of these artists, in consultation with you, to design your piece based on their individual area of expertise.

Tell us your story

Once we have gotten to know you and your story, we will start putting together some design concepts! 

For initial design inspiration, you may wish to visit our Meanings and Designs page, as we can add unique features and elements to these designs to make your piece truly one-of-a-kind. 

We specialise in carving traditional designs, steeped in meaning but we also work with expert jewellers who design custom made contemporary necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets from materials including gold and silver.

Choose your stone

We will select a variety of stones for you to choose from that will beautifully complement your design and stay within your budget. We've explored the world's sources of jade for over thirty years, searching out exceptional pieces of stone in the wilds of Canada, Russia, Australia, China, Yemen, as well as the lush wilderness of New Zealand's South Island.
